- Sportsters used to have a problem referred to as SDS. The modem would
- fall back to lower speeds whenever the line necessitated it, but would
- fail to fall forward to higher speeds when the line permitted. In
- extreme cases that nice 28.8 connection would have fallen to 9600
- within 20 minutes or so.

- USR came out with a new ROM that solves the problem. You'll have to
- get in touch with USR for them to send it to you.
